Assistant Teacher
Campus Fun and Learn is looking for an Assistant Teacher with knowledge of early childhood development and who under the direction of the lead teacher may assist in implementing curriculum teaching strategies and assessment methods that support NAEYC standards. The assistant teacher should be to communicate effectively, problem solve, and follow directions.
Teacher’s Assistant Responsibilities:

●Support and encourage school philosophy.
Treat information on families, staff and Board members in a confidential manner as set forth in the employee handbook.
Maintain a positive working relationship with students, families, colleagues and community members that will promote effective communication and collaboration
Monitor health and safety of children while at school, playground and campus walks.
Perform basic clerical and record- keeping duties
Assist in the preparation of materials needed for classroom instruction.
Responsible for any and all duties in the classroom as well as responsibilities with the children and guardians in the Lead Teacher’s absence.
Collaborate as a team with the planning of curriculum, daily responsibilities and also share ideas about classroom/Center and child development
Maintain a positive working relationship with students, families, colleagues and community members that will promote effective communication and collaboration.
Complete all opening and closing routines as set forth by the Lead Teacher
Sanitizing toys and play equipment; organizing/storing toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas, and performing general housekeeping duties such as disinfecting daily.
Will engage in child directed activities throughout the day and in the Lead Teacher’s absence
Responsible for documenting any illness and/or accident on the appropriate form and reporting any incident to lead teacher and director
Maintain the confidentiality of children and families as set forth in Employee Handbook
Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
Use appropriate guidance strategies to help children learn socially acceptable behavior.
Participate in required staff meetings and staff development opportunities.
Participating in NAEYC Accreditation, Quality Stars, self-assessment, Professional Development
And other duties as assigned
Assistant Teacher Requirements:
High School Diploma, Childhood Development Accreditation or higher
Experience preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Medical statement and TB test required
Must pass fingerprint and background clearance
